We had a good discussion tonight, but we didn't finish week 6.  We'll be picking up at the tail end of day 4...

Watching for God's activity in other's lives

Page 83 and 84 lay out a good plan for reaching others.
- Pray and watch, it's most important to pray that God shows you where he is working.  However, don't stay in prayer forever!  Get up and receive the answer: see where God leads you or who he puts in your path.

- Make the connection, see that where you are being led is where God wants you to work and will empower you.

- Find out what God is already doing by asking probing questions.  God is ALWAYS working.  Find out what he has done already in the person's life by asking some probing questions.

Scripture Memory App

http://www.remember-me.mobi/

This is the app I keep mentioning but forget to post the link to.
It helps me because I am TERRIBLE at memorization and this is like having a virtual 3x5 card box with all my favorite scriptures.

Let me know what you think.

week 4 day 2

Today's excercise was to realize the Names of God and to worship Him through them.  I fell on two names in particular (or verses).

He who blots out our transgressions- Isa 43:25
A shelter from the storm- Isa 25:4

How awesome is it to know that our sins are forgiven, but it doesn't end there!  He shelters us!

What hit everyone else?

Day 3, question 3

Did anyone else have a problem with limiting their responses to "yes" or "no"?   Even though I strive to put Jesus first and choose Him above the world and other things, I would feel like a hypocrite if I gave a solid "yes" as if I always had.

I penciled in a "mostly" block to the right...

Anyone else feel that way?

Week 2 - Going strong

How is everything going?

Does anyone have something that hit them this week?

Don't forget the memory verse!

Getting Started

Good Morning,
I hope this morning finds everyone well.

This week we studied some of the basics.  We have come to the realization that we can do nothing without Jesus.  More importantly, He doesn't want us to try to do anything without Him!

Don't forget the memory verse:

John 15:5
I am the Vine, you are the branches;
He who abides in Me, and I in him; bears much fruit;
for apart from Me, you can do nothing.

If there is anything in particular you want to make sure we discuss this afternoon, drop a comment or post here.

See you all at 5:00pm (1700 for Matt and Phil)
